So the other day I came upon a friend who has some slight trouble with her dreams lately. Of course I didn't expect a weird phone call from her saying that she had an erection from an erotic dream.

Yeah that was pretty much it. Anyway the awkward conversation got me thinking, why didn't I have an erotic dream yet? Surely I'm eighteen years old now and yet I don't see any vision of me having or rather doing it at some point. Not that I really care about it since I don't plan to have sexual intercourse anytime soon. Besides I'll do it after I get married so no worries there. But since I have so much free time to spare now I actually researched about the whole.. EROTIC DREAM thing. Very..

Interesting, weird that I found out females and males without any intent or thinking on sex will NEVER have an erotic dream until something or someone triggers their line of sexual desires. For example a boy aged 14 accidentally took a peek at a internet sex ad. He has two options. Either to proceed or to get the hell out of there. Let's pick option no.2. He leaves the ad and continues on playing computer games such as pokemon or something. Now it may seem that he was unaffected by the ad but there is a slight (subconciously) chance that at the same night he WILL experience an erotic dream, thus that boy will start having experiencing sexual desires at that very moment. Don't beleive me? Go google it. I guarantee you'll find this completely true, well if you like to base things on facts then yeah. So if any moms reading this make sure you have google safe mode turn on at all times before letting your child wander around the internet.


But what about an orgasm dream? Now listen.. er, read here. According to Alfred Kinsey, two thirds of women and nearly 100% of men reported experiencing overtly sexual dreams. Further, 83% of men had experienced nocturnal emissions both with and without dreams, usually during their late teens and 20's. Surprisingly what made me laugh was that 'woman' by age 45, nearly 40% of women reported that they had experienced an orgasm from a sex dream. So it seems like to me that older women will definitely have more experience of an orgasm from an erotic dream in their late 40's. It's quite bizarre really, I don't fully understand myself what dear Alfred was stating. Though you can't blame him since his information was dated back in the 50's.

So let's move on to a modern side note ya? More recent studies of female college students found that 35% reported having nocturnal orgasms, a dramatic change from the 8% of that age group in Kinsey's study. This dramatic increase was not attributed to any physiological change in women, rather, it is likely due to more liberal sexual attitudes, general awareness of nocturnal orgasms and more positive feelings about sex dreams. Interestingly, as with men, many women attribute their very first orgasm to dreams. Now think about it. Women from the 50's and women from 2010 factor led different lifestyles. Women back in the 50's did not have time to think about sex or rather there isn't much things to help them explore their desires (example : having a discussion about the first night). women of the twenty-first century experience the erotic dream at a younger age much much much quicker than the women of the 50's simply because what's surrounding them are PLENTY of sexual triggers or desires (example : internet, physical education, sex toys and so on). This however is considered a normal thing in the change of human evolution. We are, as someone once said, simply evolving at a peculiar rate which even us humans can't explain it through papers or common sense.


Anyway the reason why I did this was simply to figure out why my friend had an erotic dream or maybe why I'm a late bloomer. But I'm just merely stating the facts.
